Learning Outcomes
Over the course of 8 months, participants will be equipped to:
- describe the basic functions in the business environment and intrapreneurship/entrepreneurship
- conduct a feasibility study of business opportunities which reflects a systems approach to management
- read, understand, and analyse financial statements to determine the financial health of an organization
- manage a budget for the purposes of profitmaking
- draw up a basic marketing plan, and discuss customer service management
- draw up a basic plan to recruit, select and motivate human resources, and to manage their performance and promote sound labour relations
- integrate the programme modules into a business plan developed for an outsourced new business opportunity
Requirements
No formal tertiary qualifications required
One to two years of management experience
English language competence at NQF level 4 or equivalent
Ability to read and comprehend learning material, write assignments, and participate in discussions on management issues

6-8 months
